Makeapp

Makeapp is a photo editor for natural retouching and makeup that works on your iPhone, published by Magic Unicorn Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and us for your use of the Makeapp iOS app and its related services (together, the "App"). By downloading or using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA") also applies to your use of the App. If these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict, these Terms apply to the extent permitted. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.
The App is licensed to you, not sold. Subject to these Terms and the Standard EULA, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the App, use it to build a competing service, access our servers other than through the App, or interfere with the App's security or with other people's use of it. We and our licensors keep all rights not expressly granted to you.
What Pro includes. In Makeapp 7.0 and later you can open a photo and try every effect in the editor without a subscription. Saving, sharing and making a before-and-after picture of a result need an active Makeapp Pro subscription. Makeapp Pro includes unlimited edits and exports: there are no edit counts, allowances or credits.
Plans. The App offers auto-renewing subscriptions, sold and billed by Apple. Each plan includes unlimited edits and exports. Currently:
Prices and any introductory offers are shown in the App and by Apple before you confirm a purchase. Introductory offers (such as a discounted first week) may be offered to eligible subscribers; eligibility is decided by Apple (generally one introductory offer per Apple Account for Makeapp's subscriptions). When an introductory period ends, the subscription continues automatically at its regular price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the introductory period ends.
Auto-renewal and cancelling. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase (for a free trial, when the trial ends). A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings (or from Settings → Manage subscription in the App); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Subscriptions bought in earlier versions of the App, and earlier Makeapp purchases that include Pro (including edit packs), continue to include Pro.
Edit packs. Edit packs are no longer sold. If you bought one before 7.0, it unlocks Makeapp Pro's unlimited edits in 7.0 and later on the Apple Account that bought it; versions before 7.0 keep counting its edits.
Free trials before 12 October 2026. Until 12 October 2026, versions of the App before 6.2 offered the Monthly plan with a 3-day and the Yearly plan with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers; a trial started before then continues until it ends. When a free trial ends, the subscription continues automatically at its regular price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Versions before 7.0. Versions of the App before 7.0 make edits on our server and count them. Each subscription there includes a number of edits per period, shown in that version (a free trial includes up to 5), edit packs add edits that never expire, and versions before 6.1 also include free edits (3 to start, plus 1 each week). One edit is one photo with any retouch options and at most one makeup look. Subscription edits are used first, then free edits, then pack edits; an edit that fails, takes too long, is declined by our AI provider or that you cancel is not counted. We may limit edits per day, per network or in total to prevent abuse. None of this counting applies to Makeapp 7.0 and later.
Refunds. Refunds for subscriptions and edit packs are handled by Apple under its policies.
No cash value. Edits (in versions before 7.0, including subscription edits, pack edits and any free edits) and the Pro access that an earlier edit pack gives have no cash value, cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged, and are not property.
Changes. We may change plans, prices, trials and introductory offers for future periods and purchases. Changes do not reduce what you have already paid for; price changes follow Apple's notification and consent rules.
You keep all rights in your photos. Makeapp 7.0 and later process them on your device and do not send them to us. Versions before 7.0 send each photo you edit to our server and to the AI providers we use, and you give us and them a limited licence to process it only to create the edit you asked for, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the photos you edit and for how you use and share the results. In versions before 7.0, we may refuse to process a photo, and our AI provider may decline photos that break its content policies.
Edits are made automatically by software: on your device in Makeapp 7.0 and later, and by artificial-intelligence models on our server in versions before 7.0. Results can be imperfect: they may contain errors or artefacts, may change details you did not ask to change, and may not look exactly like you or exactly like a real cosmetic product would. They are not professional beauty, cosmetic, dermatological or medical advice. Results are provided "as is", and we do not guarantee any particular result. In versions before 7.0, edited results are kept on our server for at most 24 hours; save the ones you want to keep.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the App without any obligation to you.
We work to keep the App available, but it may be interrupted, changed or discontinued, and some features depend on third-party services. We may update the App and these Terms from time to time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App and all results are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Magic Unicorn Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill or reputation, arising out of or related to your use of the App or its results. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App, subscriptions and edit packs in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it (and cancelling any subscription with Apple). We may suspend or end your access to the service if you break these Terms or if we must do so for legal reasons.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at Magic Unicorn Inc.'s place of incorporation, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
If we change these Terms we will update this page and the effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the App or its App Store description. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
