Home AI Privacy Policy

Effective date: 8 October 2026

This policy explains what Home AI ("the app") does with information when you use it. Home AI is published by Magic Unicorn Inc. ("we", "us"). Contact: support@magicunicorninc.com.

Summary

Information we process

Photos you choose to redesign. When you pick or take a photo of a room, a house or a garden, choose a tool and a style, and confirm, the app uploads that photo to our server. Our server forwards it to our AI processing provider, Kie.ai, which uses an OpenAI image model to produce the redesigned image. We delete your uploaded photo from our server as soon as it has been passed to the provider, and we delete the redesigned result from our server within 24 hours. Kie.ai keeps uploaded files only temporarily to perform the processing and handles them under its own privacy policy. We use your photos only to create your redesign, and we do not use them to train AI models.

Photos of a home can incidentally include people, personal items, documents, or details such as a house number. Please avoid uploading photos that show other people, and leave out anything personal you do not want to share. We do not analyse your photos to identify people or places.

Before any photo leaves your device the app asks for your consent and tells you that a third-party AI service is used. If you do not agree, no photo is uploaded.

Analytics and measurement. To understand how the app is used and which of our App Store ads bring new users, the app uses three service providers:

These providers receive a random ID created when you install the app. They never receive your name, email address or photos, and they process the data only on our behalf. Their privacy policies: amplitude.com/privacy, appsflyer.com/legal/privacy-policy, revenuecat.com/privacy.

Purchase information. Subscriptions are sold by Apple. We never receive your payment card details. To confirm your plan and count your credits, the app sends our server the purchase receipt data that Apple provides (product, purchase and expiry dates, and Apple's transaction identifiers).

Installation identifier and usage counts. The app creates a random identifier for your installation and keeps it in your device's keychain, so it stays the same if you reinstall the app. Our server stores it with your plan, the number of redesigns you have used in the current period, and basic records of each redesign request (time, chosen tool and options such as style, room type or colour, success or failure). Each installation includes one free redesign; the installation identifier is how we record that it has been used. This is how credits and limits work. Usage events and purchase records are also processed by the analytics providers listed above.

Abuse prevention. To stop the free redesign from being claimed over and over from the same network, our server counts free redesigns per network address using a salted hash of your IP address (a one-way code made with a secret value that changes every day). The IP address itself is not stored in this record, and the hashes and that day's secret value are deleted when the day ends (UTC), so they are kept for at most a day.

Notifications. If you turn on notifications, the app sends our server a notification token issued by Apple for your device. We use it only to tell you that a design you started is ready or did not finish, never for marketing. We delete it when you turn notifications off, when Apple reports it as no longer valid, or after 180 days without use.

Server logs. Like most internet services, our server records technical log data such as IP address, time and the address requested. We use it for security and troubleshooting and keep it for a limited period.

How we use information

We do not use your information for targeted advertising or profiling.

Who we share information with

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Storage and retention

Our server is located in the European Union (France). Our providers may process data in other countries, including the United States.

Your choices and rights

You can use the app's Settings to restore purchases, and you can cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app removes your History and other app data from your device; the installation identifier stays in your device's keychain.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict its use. To make a request, email support@magicunicorninc.com and include your installation identifier, shown in the app's Settings. We will respond within 30 days.

Photos of other people

Home AI is made for photos of spaces, not people. Avoid uploading photos that show other people; if someone does appear in a photo, only upload it if they have agreed to it.

Children

Home AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app or its App Store description.
